What to Expect on Delivery Day
If you've never had a pallet delivered to your home before, here's a step-by-step guide to what happens so there are no surprises.
You'll Be Notified
On the morning of delivery, you'll receive an SMS and email confirming that your pallet is out for delivery. The driver will also call ahead approximately 30 minutes before arrival.
The Vehicle Arrives
A large vehicle (typically a 7.5 or 18-tonne lorry) will arrive at your address. The vehicle is fitted with a hydraulic tail-lift to lower your pallet safely to ground level.
Kerbside Drop
The driver will lower your pallet to the kerbside using the tail-lift and a pump truck. The pallet will be placed on the nearest safe, level area to your property entrance.
You Unpack
Once delivered, you can unpack your goods at your own pace. The driver is not able to carry items into your home or up steps, but you're free to unload at the kerbside.
Preparing for Your Delivery
A little preparation goes a long way. Follow these simple steps to make sure your delivery goes smoothly.
The delivery vehicle is typically a 7.5-tonne lorry (about the size of a removal van) or larger. Ensure there's room for the vehicle to park near your property, ideally on a flat road or driveway.
Make sure the area where the pallet will be placed is clear of parked cars, bins, children's toys and other obstacles. A clear, flat surface at the kerbside is ideal.
Someone needs to be present to receive the delivery and sign for it. Deliveries typically arrive between 7am and 6pm on the scheduled day.
The driver will place the pallet at the kerbside but cannot carry items further. If you're receiving heavy goods like paving slabs or furniture, arrange for a friend or neighbour to help you move items inside.

What Do People Have Delivered to Their Homes?
You might be surprised at how many things arrive at UK homes on pallets every day. Here are the most common items our residential customers receive.
Furniture
Flat-pack and assembled furniture, sofas, dining tables, wardrobes, beds and garden furniture. Many online furniture retailers use pallet delivery for their larger items. A full pallet comfortably accommodates most furniture pieces.
Building Materials
Tiles, bricks, paving slabs, bags of cement, plasterboard and timber. If you're renovating your home or tackling a garden project, pallet delivery is the most cost-effective way to receive bulk building supplies.
Garden & Outdoor Items
Paving stones, gravel, planters, water features, outdoor heaters, barbecues and garden sheds (in flat-pack form). Heavy garden items that can't go through a parcel courier are ideal for our residential pallet service.
Car Parts & Automotive
Engines, gearboxes, body panels, wheel sets and other car parts purchased from breakers yards, eBay or specialist suppliers. Our most popular residential delivery category for private buyers.
Gym & Fitness Equipment
Weight plates, squat racks, benches, treadmills and other heavy fitness equipment. Building a home gym? Pallet delivery is the practical choice for heavy, bulky equipment that parcel services refuse.
Appliances & White Goods
Washing machines, dishwashers, fridges and cookers. Many appliance retailers use pallet delivery for large white goods. Items arrive on the pallet in their original packaging, well-protected for transit.

Good to Know
Kerbside Only
Our drivers deliver to the kerbside only. They are unable to carry items up steps, through gardens, into garages or inside your home. If you need items moved further, please arrange your own help. The driver has a pump truck but it only works on flat, hard surfaces.
Access Requirements
The delivery vehicle needs to get within a reasonable distance of your property. If you live on a narrow lane, cul-de-sac with restricted turning, or a road with height or weight restrictions, please let us know at the time of booking so we can plan accordingly.
Someone Must Be Present
A responsible adult needs to be at the delivery address to sign for the pallet. If nobody is available, the driver may attempt to leave it with a neighbour or will return the pallet to the local depot for redelivery. A redelivery charge may apply.
Check on Delivery
We recommend checking your goods whilst the driver is still present. If there's any visible damage to the packaging, note it on the delivery paperwork before signing. This protects you in the unlikely event that you need to make an insurance claim.
